Our Foodies Christmas Gift Guide

*Ad - Gifted. All opinions are our own.

It has to be said we are two girls that love our food! However, the thing we love most is putting our hearts and souls into cooking for our families and having everyone round the table to enjoy a meal together. When you're a foodie, you tend to attract fellow foodie friends and that's the reason we decided to put together this Foodies Christmas Gift Guide for our lovely readers who also have some food loving friends!

Giving a gift that is a good local Dorset product is always top of our list. A Dorset farmer who was following in the footsteps of his forefathers, who had been making cheese for 300 years didn’t like wasting the whey. So set about fermenting and then distilling the whey and BLACK COW VODKA was born. This is sooooo smooth it makes the perfect gift for Vodka lovers if you can bear to part with it! Now they have the fabulous BLACK COW CHRISTMAS SPIRIT and “oh my, it’s off the scale it’s so good!!” All the aromas and flavours of Christmas. It makes fabulous Christmas cocktails, or simply drink it on the rocks.

There is nothing nicer than giving and receiving a really good cheese hamper at Christmas time. These hand cut and wrapped cheeses from SLATE are just fabulous. They arrive carefully boxed in a chill box with a packet of Pete’s Yard sourdough crispbread. Our deluxe East Anglian cheese selection had Baron Bigod, Norfolk Dapple, Bingham Blue, Suffolk Gold, Norfolk Marldler and St Jude. Perfect Christmas fair!

This is a must for any cheese freak in your family, forget the chocolate advent calendars and treat someone special to this enormous cheesy advent calendar and bring a real smile to their faces. It's the world's first cheese advent calendar that is totally fridge-free. The most cheese-loving gift for the cheese lovers in your life.

Cadbury Roses are offering this year a lovely Cath Kidston inspired tin of sweet treats. So long after the last sweet has been unwrapped this beautiful tin will still be useful and very pretty to look at. The Cadbury Roses and Cath Kidston limited-edition tins have the same delicious chocolates that everyone knows and loves, and the gorgeous keepsake tin can be reused for years to come. It’s a gift not just for Christmas, but something that can be enjoyed again and again all year

If you know someone who is watching the calories over the Christmas period but still loves a glass of bubbles to celebrate, then your absolute go to must be WILD LIFE BOTANICALS. Their range of beautifully packaged low alcohol sparkling wines make the perfect gift. Their sparkling nude and sparkling blush are not only low calorie and low in alcohol but taste sensational!

PLAYinCHOC is always a winner for little ones that are Nut, Gluten or dairy intolerant. This box comes complete with a surprise toy. And the fact they are all organic and plastic free is an absolute bonus.

No Christmas is complete with out Opies fabulous foods. They make fantastic gifts . So if you wanted to give something a bit different this year just have a look at the wonderful range. They will definitely be part of my Christmas fair, and my personal favourite is the stem ginger.

Christmas isn't Christmas without Guylian Belgian Chocolate. This years and every years gift to our loved ones and also to ourselves. At the end of another strange year, we’ll all agree that some seasonal spoiling is high on our agenda and Guylian’s range of gifts and goodies are guaranteed to make life a little sweeter.

A bottle of Chambord makes a wonderful gift with an essence of true decadence. Chambord is a raspberry liqueur that beautifully marries up with Prosecco and Champagne. But also makes the most amazing cocktails and can be mixed with Dry Gin, Rum or Vodka...the list is endless. If you like a cocktail then try it with white wine and soda. But my firm favourite is Christmas morning breakfast and a French Mimosa - Chambord and Champagne. Well sometimes you just have to!

Sending someone something different ,that a real treat is what Christmas is all about and Lewis and Baker have the most fabulous range of traditionally crafted sweet treats. Beautiful brownies , tray bakes and shortbreads all presented in the most elegant gift boxes. And they taste fantastic too!

Although some of my family don't drink alcohol it's still really nice to be able to gift them a bottle of something really special so they can join in the celebrations and don't have to just have the generic cola or fruit juice. Bax Botanics sell the most amazing alcohol free spirits that are traditionally distilled and taste fantastic. So if you want your designated driver to enjoy an evening with mocktails or someone special cannot drink because of medication and they feel like they are missing out then this is the perfect treat over the festive season.

I love to find sustainable gifts for my foodie friends, so when I came across FRUIT BODHI ORGANICS at the vegan market in Dorchester back in the summer, I knew I had the perfect gift idea for Christmas for the true FOODIE in my family. Ethical, Sustainable, Vegan and fun to grow. The kit arrives ready to get started and of course the end result is something beautiful to cook also. I just hope they remember to invite me for a taster session when the mushrooms are ready!
