Finding Campsites in Dorset

Now that January is out of the way, we really start to look forward to the year ahead. Dorset is a truly beautiful county and we do like a camping trip during the summer months. We know what you're thinking…it’s February, how can you even think about camping right now! But it’s always good to start planning ahead. Firstly to secure a pitch at a campsite of your choice and secondly it gives you something to look forward to in the coming months.

The best thing about camping is you don’t necessarily have to go miles away from home to have a fun and relaxing time.

But how do you find the right campsite for you? We discovered campsites.co.uk and realised this is just the perfect way to find a campsite that works for us. There are so many fabulous choices of camping, caravans, shepherds huts and glamping or even staying in a teepee!

They can also show you places that are dog friendly which is an absolute bonus for us as we have found places in the past and then realised we were unable to take the dogs. You can view all the amenities available at each individual campsite and read reviews left by other campers.

Campsite.co.uk makes it effortless to view, read about the site and book and so it’s something we actually really look forward to doing. A good cup of coffee and then sit and explore the fantastic choices of campsites available. Giving you a great insight to the campsite itself and also what the area has to offer.

This is one of our favourite things to do, with dreams of the warmer weather and so much fun and laughter, cosy summer nights, bedtime stories and maybe a cheeky glass of wine once the little ones are settled.

Now this may not surprise you, but one of us loves to pack up the tent and all the gear and get cosy under canvas with campfires and smores, spooky stories and cycling . While the other is more of a glamping kinda girl and if there is a hot tub available as well then it’s a definite win.

Prosecco, bbqs and walking. But isn’t that the best thing about planning a camping trip, there is something for everyone and you can camp anyway that pleases you.

Do you have plans ready for the summer? This is definitely the right time to make plans and get a trip in the diary, it makes it so exciting to have a holiday to look forward to. And of course it will be summer before we know it and we will be glad we booked up early to avoid the disappointment of missing out on our firm favourites.
