Cosmo Restaurant Bournemouth | A Review

*Ad-Gifted. All opinions are our own.

When we were invited to review the fabulous new Cosmo restaurant in Bournemouth we were rather excited. After jumping online and looking at the website we realised it was an all you can eat buffet restaurant . We had a family member's birthday on the horizon and that seemed like the ideal time to visit.

It’s always difficult going out for a family dinner with a large party as we all have different food likes and dislikes and you can never please everyone, well that is at least what we thought before we visited Cosmo Bournemouth . At Cosmo it doesn’t matter what your food preferences were because they serve just about anything you can wish for all under one roof; from Asian, Japanese sushi, Teppanyaki, Indian all the way through to the good old traditional roast dinner, the list is just endless. And then to top it Cosmo offer a wonderful selection of desserts.

We found parking was very easy as it is located very close to the Richmond Hill car park just off the Wessex way which is a 24 hour multi-storey.

On arrival at the restaurant we were immediately taken by the beautiful décor. The seating areas were well proportioned with partition shelving giving it a very spacious feel and the furniture was modern and seating was extremely comfortable.

The lighting was warm and rich and although it was a big restaurant it had a very relaxed and up market feel against other buffet restaurants we have visited before.

We were shown to our table by the very friendly staff and we were very impressed to see that from there on we had excellent table service. The drinks menus are on the table with a really wide selection including some fabulous cocktails! We were able to pay for our meals and order our drinks individually and pay directly at the table. Again this can often be a little difficult in a large group so this was really nice and straightforward and some family members were able to have an NHS discount which was an added bonus.

The food was plentiful and colourful and very well presented. All set under lamps to keep warm and the staff were constantly cleaning and refilling. The choices were amazing and all beautifully cooked and each dish clearly labelled for allergies which was impressive! The salad was fresh and it really was like experiencing an around the world trip in fabulous cuisine.

The friendly staff were helpful and at the Teppanyaki grill the staff worked tirelessly cooking seafood and steak from fresh to order. After each course the tables were very efficiently cleared and we were very pleasantly surprised at the choices of desserts. We can highly recommend the cheesecake which was so fresh and just delicious.

The family member who was celebrating a birthday was surprised by a remote cat robot, who delivered a trio of birthday treats with a candle in, whilst singing happy birthday! This of course made the family laugh and really completed what was a very enjoyable evening.

We will definitely be returning to Cosmo in Bournemouth, and I think it will be our new family favourite place to go. Good food, fabulous service and great atmosphere and very affordable.
